July 7, 2011: New resident priests arrive at St. Philip Neri
We are pleased and excited to announce that we once again have resident priests at St. Philip Neri. Fr. Zeljko Guberovic and Fr. Mariano Dellagiovanna are serving in a team ministry for our parish, as well as assisting in the Hispanic Apostolate in this part of the diocese. Our new priests have been assigned here as part of a program with the Archdiocese of Newark, New Jersey. Fr. Guberovic has assumed the title of Moderator in team ministry. They reside in the rectory. Welcome!
 

January 23, 2011: New Pastoral Council members
The new Pastoral Council members, chosen today at Mass, are Virginia Trago, Bill Bolton, and Denise Bennett.
 

September 19, 2010: New music director
Peter Bergin has been hired as St. Philip Neri’s new music director. Today’s Mass is his first in the position. If you are interested in being involved in the music ministry, please e-mail info[at]stphilipneriempire.com.
 

Jan. 21, 2010: New Pastoral Council members

Oct. 7, 2009: New bishop announced
The bishop-elect for the Diocese of Gaylord is Msgr. Bernard “Bernie” Hebda. Bishop-Elect Hebda is a native of Pittsburgh, PA, and has spent several years in Rome as a canon lawyer. The installation date has been set for December 1. Until December 1, Patrick Cooney remains the bishop of Gaylord. See these links for more information:
